DB2 LUW DBA JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for DB troubleshooting, database activities like export/ import, DB2move, Load utility, Backup and recovery, DB2 node directory / catalog configuration. Database performance tuning using DB2dart, DB2explain utilities etc.
Trouble shooting database issues using db2diag and notification logs, snapshot, event monitor, db2hc or enabling HMON
Supporting Configure and maintain High Availability Disaster Recovery (HADR) environment
Database performance tuning using db2dart, db2explain, db2advis db2top, db2pd utilities.
Backup and recovery methods including point in time recovery.
Install, configure, monitor, upgrade, Migrating and maintain DB2 LUW databases in production/Dev/QA environments
Instance and database creation and configuration.
Extensive experience automating database maintenance and monitoring with shell scripts including automating system event logging, alert notification, and Reporting using the DB2 utilities and Command Line Processor (CLP).
Working experience on SAP db2 environment (Preferred)
Knowledge on OS clustering environment
Exposure on DR test & strategies like Failover Clustering
Very good knowledge of Linux/AIX/Window
Should have very good communication skills and Knowledge on ITIL Methodologies like Change, Incident, Problem, and Service Management using Service Now is preferred.
Working knowledge of Backup tools like Netbackup (1.) To independently resolve tickets and esnure that the agreed SLA of ticket volume and time are met for the team. (2.) To provide support for on call escalations orL3 level support and doing incident and problem management (3.) Work on value adding activities such Knowledge base update and management, Training freshers, coaching analysts and conducting interviewsorparticipation in hiring drives. (4.) To adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements and company policies (5.) To ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions or Reopen Cases (6.) To participate or contribute on EN business in creation of proposals to drive Service improvement plans.
